If it doesn't work out in the long run as a door lock, I will donate it to my local police and they can use it to bash doors in for quick entry. Yes, it feels that solid and heavy. Lock is packaged really well. In a move you don't see much anymore, the manufacturer includes a small bag of extra screws of the various sizes needed. I didn't need them but it was a great touch.Installation: note that the instructions are in broken English. The manufacturer wrote very detailed instructions for installation and usage, but don't expect to be able to understand them easily. For my use, I had a door hole patterns created by the home builder which presented the first challenge. The deadbolt was installed above the door handle. and the Wejuprit lock goes up from the handle and not down like Schlage or Kwikset. My solution was to reverse the locks and place the deadbolt below the door handle. It's actually is easier to use a fingerprint reader in that position anyway.Installation should not be hard for anyone who has installed other key-less entry locks, but if this is your first time be ready to have fun figuring out what the instructions actually say.Usage: Once you decipher the instructions, the lock is super easy to setup. Admin user gets setup first when the lock comes on the first time. After that, the admin user can add people by selecting add user. Fingerprint enrollment takes three successive touches to record. If there is a problem the user is prompted to try again. Once enrolled, I've found reading the fingerprint and disengaging the lock to be fast and flawless. Important to my wife, especially over the kwikset I removed, is that the door relocks quickly. Not so quick you have any trouble opening it, but quick enough that you aren't in the house and down the hall before it relocks.Durability: I installed it yesterday so don't enough usage data to know if problems will arise, but I am very happy with the external build of the lock and handle. It there's a problem, it will be in the electronics or the electric mechanism. Like I said in the beginning of this review, physically you could use the thing to beat your door off it's frame.Conclusion: If you're reading this at least a month from when I wrote it, and there is no follow-up edit, then I recommend this lock as a buy. If I experience problems, I will add to this review or possibly change it completely.4/2/20: I said above that if I experienced problems I’d be back to update this review. Well, this is a super rare time when I’m returning to double brown on my prior review. Having used it for the last few months, I am totally happy with its construction and operation. If I have any complaint it’s that the number pad is not very bright and therefore hard to see. I never use the number pad so really, it doesn’t matter to me anyway. I’ve never said this before in a review, but here goes; just buy it.Installation was easy using the given template even though fitting in the short screws through the plate was cumbersome. Pretty sturdy and nice finish. The plate that holds the lock seems to be soft. In my previous lock it was metal and strong. Not sure if it will hold the weigh for too long. But the lock is well built and works well so for, it has been a few days.Even though I am a techie I struggled with finger print setup since the instructions to add users was not clear.You need to click on the dial first to see the menu and then use the master finger print. I kept placing the finger print first and I was expecting to see the menu, like my previous Adel lock. Adel one which broke within a year, Hoping this lasts longer, but I don't have high hopes looking at how thin/non-metallic the connecting plate is.Received the door lock in a well packed box. Installation took a couple of hours since it was mounted in the top hole where the dead bolt was previously located. Most of the work was on the door frame. The lock itself mounted easily.Took a few minutes to figure out the menu and program some door codes. Took a little practice to just rest a finger on the scanner and not to press it like a button. I like that it will remember many codes. Note that only the numbers 1 through 8 are the available digits for the door codes.After being installed for a couple of months it performs very well, with finger print recognition <95% on the first try. I never have to use the codes.The only negative is that the display is a bit hard to see in bright sun. At other times and night the display is very visible.
