The best thing I bought. I love everything about this. Still learning all the parts and but very simple to understand and to use. Several ways to access it only bad thing is I can’t unlock from my room because it’s not 2 meters from the door which is sad because I would want it most for that use while I don’t want to get up to unlock the door. Oh and I can’t setup new lock unless I’m there next to the door but I haven’t read all the rules so there might be a way to do it I just don’t know yet.Updated: Yamiry Customer Service reached out to me and wanted to make things right. I explained the issue and they asked if I can give it a try again as they think that the issue I encountered is just on the specific unit I received first. When I received a new unit, I did notice that the privacy mode button is more stable as the first one was flimsy. After testing it for a few days, I have confirmed that the privacy mode feature will disable after being unlocked by the key or an administrator code. This definitely does alleviate my worry that it would stay in privacy mode forever and I am happy with the quick resolution of my issues. I will start to purchase more as soon as the other rooms in my house finish getting remodeled.The door lock is easy to install and the quality is great compared to the other Smart Door Locks on the market. The fingerprint reader works quick as well as the RFID card reader and Number Pad. I only have one problem with this door lock and it is with the Privacy mode feature. It is supposed to prevent anyone from opening the door unless they have the administrator passcode and it does do that but even after I disabled it with the physical switch on the non-keypad side, it would always stay in Privacy mode. It made this lock useless for me since I was interested in the quick unlocks via the fingerprint sensor. All in all, I am impressed with the quality but this Privacy mode feature was a deal breaker for me since it just makes this door lock a doorlock with the number pad.The first lock arrived with stripped mounting threads and I had to return it. No hassle on the return, but after getting the replacement it was clear that my original was already someone else's open-box return. That was not a great start but at least there were no hassles on the return.Pros:It came with 2 RFID key FOBs and also 2 hard backup keys which was a nice touch.Feels well made and solid. I wouldn't use this to protect anything of significant value, but for my application it is perfect (access to a shared residential storage space).Physical installation went smoothly and it fit perfectly into the hole left by my standard door knob. No extra drilling required.After you agree to the 'privacy policy' (see 'cons' below) the setup is intuitive and easy to navigate. I had to hold my mobile device very close to the lock when sending commands but I was able to easily program the FOBs and fingerprints.Cons:Once it had power an annoying voice prompt was telling me to use bluetooth to get basic function. Neither the included key FOBs nor a custom key code could be used or programmed without first installing their app and programming them, and the app will not open without you first creating an account on their system using a validated email address and agreeing to their very permissive privacy policy. I couldn't find a way to disable the annoying talking prompt loudly telling me to 'connect using bluetooth' without first agreeing to their sketchy privacy policy.I tried to understand all the implications of their privacy policy. From what I could tell (aside from requiring location data) it allows them to use 3rd party sources to amass and use your personal data. I was very disappointed to learn this was required before I could even unlock the door, and this wasn't made clear until after the package was opened and the lock was physically installed. I tried not allowing them access to my location information but it would not even try to connect to the lock without it. Very annoying.Be advised that this is a Chinese company and this product requires you to agree to their loosey goosey privacy policy before you can use its most basic functions. If that is of no concern to you then you might like the ease of use and function.There are two things I want to talk about the smart door lock. The first is the installation process is very smooth. After reading the instruction, it takes us about 30 mins to remove the old one and put the new one on, set up app and try different access modes. We go to an evening walk every day. It used to take a while for us to unlock our old lock by a key. With the IC card in hand, the door is opened just seconds. It is an amazing stuff and I recommend to people who is fond of high-tech gadget.Absolutely love this thing! So OO7. I installed this on the door to my shop and could not be happier. The only small issue I have is with the finger print reader is It usually takes more than one try to get it to read. In my opinion it’s still easier than using the number pad or smart phone to unlock the door. I was also impressed with the adjustability when programming. I have my lock set to open to anyone that wants to come in from eight in the morning to eight at night. The lock will automatically engage after 8pm and remain engaged until I open the door the next morning. As stated the lock is passive once I first use it. It doesn’t just unlock itself at 8am. It must read my fingerprint before its open for all to enter and will remain that way until 8pm or until I say otherwise. The instructions explain it better than what I attempted to do. Bottom line is for me, this thing is awesome and I would recommend it.My garage door doesn’t use a deadbolt, just a regular latch so I needed a lock that was convenient to use yet also fast. Wanted something that would lock automatically so no one would open it if I was inside or in the yard. This is perfect. Feels very solid. Fingerprint takes just a second to unlock. You can punch in a code, use the key, use the key card or use the app on your phone. I showed my neighbors and they all got one. I would recommend upgrading the strike plate to something bigger so it’s harder to kick the door in. When you install, make sure the lock on both sides of the door is level before screwing it down.
