Purchased one to test, then purchased second one the day I installed the first. Instructions and videos made installation fairly simple. I did not drill 10mm holes as described; 1/4” holes worked great. The lock secures my gates and is easy to understand and use by my family and by service providers. Highly recommend.I was looking for an outdoor lock with a throw-bolt, plus a combo key pad instead of a key. This set answered my criteria. I'm pretty sure, if someone wants to get in a sledgehammer would work. I installed this on a side gate as a deterrent. I wanted to access the gate without worrying if I had a key. Setting the combo is straight forward. Figuring out the "right" or "left" is a bit tricky. There is a small metal pin in the back that needs to be moved from the right to the left or vise versa. If you need to move it, just cup your hand and tap the pin into it.Easy installation. Did not need to use the latch receiver. I did have to add a board to the inside. Just drilled 3 holes. Set the number code. Works beautifully. Had been searching for a simpler lock than the RV type.I ordered two of these to provide tenants with access to gated outdoor space with an old iton gate. By the time my iron guy got around to installing a new plate for this lock, the return window was closed. I was not able to set my preferred combination on one of the two because that number malfunctioned. You can only use each number once, and the order doesn't matter, so there really are very few "combinations" since 1234 is the same as 4321. My handyman could not figure out how to make the lock work once installed. I'm hoping I can get someone to resolve this. Very frustrating.I wanted a keyless lock (one that could not be BUMPED to open). I consider that my expectations on my security are among the highest I know among my friends and colleagues. So having a lock that will not fail, and will provide me what it says it will is CRUCIALLY important.This Codace Lock, compared to its rival Lockey Lock is MUCH more sturdy, much more weighted for solidness, and WORKS compared to my continued FAILURES with Lockey M series. It has now been on my gate in all sorts of bad weather (rain, freeze) and still solidly performs. What can you give for a lock like that! Thank you Codace, for the lock that performs when It MUST the way it MUST!!. 5 stars out of 5, plus 1 for being above the stardom required!!!I did not need to shorten the bolts or connecting bar for my 2 5/8" thick vinyl gate, although it does appear that cutting the bolts and/or bar would not have been difficult had my door been less thick. The provided template for drilling the gate was accurate and helpful. My application required use of the mortise receiver on my post, but it was thoughtful to include both mortise and surface mount receiver hardware. We'll see how this holds up in the salt air of the central California coast, but at least for now I am quite satisfied. Thank you!Wanted a clear and durable combination lock for our side yard gate, and although the first one purchased was defective (wouldn't lock), Amazon shipped the replacement and 48hrs later the replacement works perfectly. Heavy construction and finish hopefully will stand up to our coastal salt air.Unit works beautifully, I bought two of them one for each gate, however when installing I found on the second one that if I drilled half inch holes on the top and bottom screws for mounting it that allowed for my lack of ability to measure accurately and install easily anyway. It allowed me to move the lock units up and down a little more to position them in the right place.Installed product onto door. Followed instructions and installation but realised that the mechanism was so sloppy that the latch would move to open even without the code being entered. I did receive a refund and I have bought the same looking but genuine product from hardware store for extra £5 but works perfectly. I would avoid this make.I bought two. They don't perform well on garden gates. With one I have to hold the gate at the top to bring it into position to unlock. The other doesn't unlock at all from the outside.Bon produit robuste et aussi facile à programmer qu'à installer. Comme le verrou est de type mécanique, on ne peut pas coder des séquences répétitives mais ça, c'est sans conséquence. Le loquet glisse très bien dans l'anse et le bouton est facile à tourner et de taille appropriée pour les petites mains.Overall seems well built. Easy to install for both left and right hand gates. Will see how it functions through the winter monthsThe product was incomplete, many parts are missing. The Spindle, the wood screes, and fixing bolts were missing. I cannot install it without those pieces.
