Installing these is easy enough, as long as you don't have pets who like to play practical jokes. I had things all ready to go, stuck the latch piece in and I was getting the other bits ready, moving them to the inside of the bedroom. I went back out into the hallway to get a couple more things and my joker of a cat closed the door. I didn't have the handle on yet and it was on the other side of the door, along with all my tools. Yay. Luckily, I had another similar handle set that I used to get back in, but if this happens to you, just be aware that it's not as easy to jimmy it open as a Kwikset or other typical US brands. Silly cats!Anyway, it was easy to install after the initial cat-tastrophe, taking about 15 minutes. The handle set is substantial and has a nice weight to it. The locking mechanism is easy to use, and a good deterrent, but one that's easy to open from the outside with anything small in diameter like the tip of a pencil. This is typical of these types of push-button locks and it's so you can easily get it open if your kids lock themselves inside or an elderly relative, etc. It simply disengages the handle from being able to push down the latch. Great if you need a bit of privacy in the bathroom, at least until your kids figure out how easy it is to bypass it. LOLThis is a good sturdy handle set that was a lot heavier-duty than I was expecting, making it a good value for money at around $30 for the privacy handle. It's easy to install and would be equally easy to uninstall if you need to paint the door. The lock is easy to use, from both sides, in fact, and the finish was as expected. It arrives in a product box with the handles cradled in protective foam, so they're well protected and mine arrived in perfect condition without so much as a superficial scratch. This is especially important if you've decided on the matte black finish.
