The door handle works great. Installation was easy. The only issue is the handle does not spring back on it's own. I have to push it back against the door after I open it. It is loosening up and getting better but it appears there are some tolerance issues here. Still, for the price, I would but it again.Installing it took a bit of work, so unless you know what you are doing or you know someone who does, you're better off going somewhere to get it done. This handle took maybe an hour to an hour and a half to install. The handle itself would was hard to move. You had to install it at a sweet spot so that the handle would be easy to pull on. After pulling on it the handle would not reset itself very well either. You would have to push on it to make it return to its normal position. After 5.5 months it works well and doesn't have any of these problems anymore, but I'm certain it's due to us installing it a certain way.It works. Broke my door handle on the driver side of my 500 Abarth. Replaced it with this and works just fine. It does feel tight when opening the door. Maybe it will loosen over time. It was a b***h to install! The connecting rods inside the door had clamps that were hard to get to with my big hands. There is one rod , by design only pops in. As other have experienced, the clip is too big and the rod falls out. I replaced it with the original clip and it still would not last more than a few pulls before it fell out as well. Bottom line is this is junk. Do not buy it.HERE IS THE NEW PART: Although you need to use your original clip, I discovered the rod to that clip was inserted upside down. Now it works perfectly. Although as some one else said, it's not as smooth as the factory part, I think time will take care of that, if you are concerned use silicon grease.I actually bought a cheaper handle at another place and it arrived broken. But once I ordered this one I noticed the quality was a lot better than the one I had previously purchased.Received the next day! my mechanic installed and it works great!I didn't have any problem installing this on my car door because my master mechanic neighbor did it for me. He did it in like what seemed only minutes the man is brilliant!! Yes happy with this purchased it my 2013 Fiat 500c perfectly.Fit my car (2013 500) at least in theory. The installation process was not too hard, pretty typical for a door handle. there’s one spot on the handle that seems to be defective where it isn’t flush against the door. See photo. Also, update: after about 7 mos of light usage, the handle no longer works. The rod pops out of the plastic retainer. You can see in the photo that the OEM design (white retainer clip) is smaller than this one (red clip) so the rod can pop out of the red clip. The seller is not supportive and keeps offering me a 10% refund. No thanks. If you choose this handle, make sure to transfer the plastic retaining clips from your old one, or better yet, avoid using this by replacing the metal hinge piece only (available on Amazon) which you can do before the plastic part breaks. Also, when I removed this part to throw it away after 7 months of use, I noticed heavy rust on the pin despite the fact that I sprayed it with lithium grease during installation, so this handle was well on its way to failing again.Firstly the driver side door handle of my son's Fiat 500 was broken off. It costs over 700 dollars at a Chrysler/Fiat dealership. I didn't like it and a couple month later, the passenger side door handle got broken off. This time, I decided to fix it myself to save several hundred dollars. Removing the broken handle was challenging, but installing this new one was a lot easier. The first photo attached shows when it was broken, and the second after it's fixed. As other buyers stated, it has some gap between the handle and the door, and feels flimsy. But I believe It's worth 40 dollars. Not everybody's job, though.Installed on a 2012 fiat 500 sport canadian version (left hand drive). Watched a video before hand but mine didnt line up and slide in position as smoothly as on video. Once installed it looks as good as what was on before but my old one maybe wasn't OEM either as someone had definitely been inside the door before i bought the car. Works great. I have no complaints.Installed both door handles professionally at the garage. One broke within one day, the other broke within a few weeks. GARBAGE.I purchased both door handles. The passenger side was a very tight fit but I eventually was able to make it work. The driver side would not go all the way in at the bottom. Was able to get all the screws to line up and the rods to connect, so for $30 I’ll take my chancesThe leading mount (closest to the front of the car) doesn't sit as flush to the door panel as the OEM part. Beyond that it seems well made, at least as good as OEM (which is cheap junk) and installed properly.
